Hello World! These are the experts:

Izzy: Skateboarder

Emily: Visual Effects Manger

Sam: Stage Manager

Anna: Curator

Noah: Sound Engineer

As part of the FLL innovation project, we explored the experts’ jobs and hobbies by going to the LUME Melbourne to explore the visual effects and museum curating. With sound engineering, we went to Vivid Sydney to explore screen and live sound engineering and for stage management, we played with lights in the control room of an auditorium.

    The lineup of five experts is an interesting way to frame the FLL innovation project—pairing a skateboarder with a VFX manager and a curator shows how varied the inputs to a real design problem can be. The trip to LUME Melbourne to dig into visual effects and curation sounds like it gave the team concrete ground to work from rather than abstractions. On a side note, I’ve poked around visual effects tools like everygenai.live out of curiosity about how those effects actually get made.
