Real-time Data Facilitates Our Innovation

To contribute to saving the GBR — our Australian icon, and thanks to the advancement of AI and the existing GBR Carbon Dioxide Measurements dataset published by CSIRO, we plan to focus on the design and innovation of an underwater ROV which can dive and help the ocean scientists to collect data via photo-shooting or video recording, as well as test and analyse the data collected to forecast the dynamics happening to the GBR in a timely manner.

According to the Engineering Design Process, we need to deepen our research to identify how we would like our underwater ROV to facilitate the protection of the GBR. Our prototype design will be based on our understanding and expectation. Afterwards, we will bring our design to life, and test it for loopholes, before iterating the whole process until our model has been improved. Then, we will share our knowledge and findings with the judges via a presentation.
