Hello World!

Overall recount of our visit to Science Space

What did we do there?
Science Space is a science museum located inside the University of Wollongong and it consists of various contraptions that can be manipulated to create certain reactions. Some of the contraptions are a tube filled with water that creates a vortex, some ferrofluids, a contraption that builds up pressure to shoot a tennis ball, moving robots, and more.

During our time, we discovered how these events happen because of an informative sign that states how this mechanism works and a bit of background information for clarification. We get to learn more about science and ways to innovate and discover new ideas. The use of technology and engineering for experiments, guiding the way for more unique and efficient ideas.

What is the Bubbleology lesson?

The bubbleology lesson is a lesson from this show, Science Space, which shows theories, experiments, even tricks, such as a bubble fire with bubbles. It consists of questions, chemical learning, reality of science and levels of bubble tricks. It creates lots of molecule examples to understand more about the forms of bubbles in Science Space.

The purpose?

Let’s connect this together. FLL’s topic is Masterpiece, which connects with art such as cool design and shapes, but it can also connect to science and logic. Such as Boomwhackers, power calculators, simulations of natural disasters, they have a special technique to form, so we decided to go to Science Space so we could learn more about science, technology, and as well, art.

After all of this, we got a bouncy ball (as a survivor) to recount of our visit to Science Space, and that ball, which was dark blue and glittery inside, was like a contraption in itself, gravity pulling it down and the elastic force propelling it upward is like experimenting with physics, and can be easily brang to the competition to represent we are also exploring our core values of discovering and innovation.
