Hello World! Recalling far back from my Blog #10 in early August, I mentioned that our team would learn from past lessons and mistakes to accept the new challenges of FLL Season 2023-24. However, as we feel more and more exhilarated and confident about FLL National Championship, which is only days away, some unpleasant surprises came uninvited.
Do you remember our tricky juggling, as I once described in Blog #1, between two robotics competitions around this time last year? Oh no! We had it again — Oliver and William, two of our main teammates of Year 8 will have to travel to Adelaide to attend the National Final of another robotics competition during the upcoming FLL weekend. Their team currently ranks 6th in driving skills nationally and therefore, they are very promising and might be only metres away from the podium. Despite the dilemma, our two teammates have absolute confidence in the rest of the team and in our potential achievements in FLL National Championship on 2nd December.
Meanwhile, Hayden, another main teammate of Year 7, is in his gradual recovery from illness and can only attend school for half a day now, and hence, it will be a bit impractical for him to join FLL National Championship personally.
In spite of the difficulties that we have encountered with as well as many other more to come, we, Team 1585 Hello World, will go to extraordinary lengths to keep going. Regardless of the results from FLL National Championship on 2nd December, our FLL journey will definitely continue to extend further and further!
