Hello World! Ever thought you were a little bit bored? And want to learn some interesting facts about FLL (First Lego League):
1. FLL was created by Dean Kamen, the first ever creator of the segway! (two wheeled vehicle that travels up to 20 km per hour)
2. FLL is targeted towards students aged 9 to 16 years old, divided in between 2 different groups; explore and challenge.
3. FLL combines a mixture between problem solving, engineering, coding, having fun and teamwork on the field, or even at judging.
4. Each FLL season has a specific theme that guides the challenges and project topics. These themes have ranged from space, to exploration to masterpiece!
5. Teams identify a real-life world problem and try to find a solution to it.
6. FLL competitions take place at various levels, starting with regional or district events and increasing in national and international championships, such as the challenge we are aiming for, Houston Finals in America!
7. FLL has grown significantly since its creation in 1998, with teams from over 100 countries participating each year. Participants not only learn coding, but their mathematics, science, creative arts and English all increase even at the slightest!
