Hello World! When it comes to participating in FLL (First Lego League), it is essential to consider what you bring with you to the competition. Overpacking and bringing useless items can have big or small impacts on them. Lets ask yourself and review some questions.
1. Does the item have a purpose during the competition? If yes, then bring it along. Pencils & Pens are quite fragile, but you should carry along a few.
2. Is the item essential for completing the robot missions or performing the required tasks? For instance, PACK AT LEAST 2 CHARGERS!!!
3. Will the item display any symbols or signs during judging time? Yes or No?
4. Does the item provide a backup solution if something goes wrong? If so, bring it!
5. Is the item easy to carry?. If not, leave it behind.
6. Will the item make the team’s organization, efficiency and teamwork better and slightly easier?
Carrying things from and back are very important if you need to run all the way back to your pit room. We had to walk a fair distance from the pit room to the judging/robot missions area. Please be mindful of what you’re bringing as it may cause an effect on yourself or your team.
