Preserve the Culture, Empower the World!

Hello World! As we all know, Australia’s First Peoples have been living on the Australian continent for millennia. They consist of many different and distinct groups, each with their own culture, customs, language and laws. Meanwhile, they are the world’s oldest surviving culture, which continue to be expressed in dynamic and contemporary ways.
I once watched a documentary on BTN about First Nations Language and Culture, in which a teenage girl illustrated a picture book written in Pitjantjatjara, a language spoken by Aboriginal people of the Central Australian desert near Uluru. In her instance, Aboriginal art was communicated via publishing and reading books. I also learnt that, just like language plays a big role in storytelling, art can also pass teachings from generation to generation.
Thanks to the technology, many Aboriginal languages now have online dictionaries, apps and videos for storytelling. Following that, I’m eager to explore any high-tech strategies to help make a profound impact — to save and promote Aboriginal artworks from disappearing.
