Author: Team 1585 Hello World

Have you ever noticed the architectural characteristics of Macquarie University, the FLL headquarter in NSW, especially from our group photos we posted after FLL competitions on this website? Yes! They are all Aboriginal artworks.

Do you remember the topic of FLL this year? Yes! MASTERPIECE? season.

We believe that Australian native arts, such as Aboriginal artworks, are unique enough to inspire us to imagine innovative ways to ‘spread’ them across the globe, which motivates us to conduct relevant research and create feasible solutions.

Macquarie University, as the main hosting campus of FLL, respects and celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, and we, aiming to better represent Australia on global stage, also takes pride in the knowledges of the world’s oldest continuous living cultures.

Therefore, to sharpen our research skills and enrich our experience in Engineering Design Process, we are going to embrace Aboriginal culture into our Innovation Project and explore the potential to introduce robotics to Aboriginal community during the new phase of our FLL journey up to Australian National Championship.
