Hello World! Among many of the task materials and mission models launched by FLL since early September, Challenge Overview, Engineering Notebook, Team Meeting Guide and Robot Game Rulebook are the most essential documents. And in my opinion, you’d better print them out once they are available online so you can make notes on them during team meetings, if this is your first year participating in FLL.

The booklets may seem bulky and you may feel inclined to glance through them briefly, however, the beginning pages of Introduction or Welcome are usually very important because it reiterates on the pivotal aspects that FLL will assess your team on competition day, such as the quartet of Core Values, Innovation Project, Robot Design and Robot Game, as well as Gracious Professionalism, Coopertition, and Engineering Design Process.

Besides, even after you receive mission models and have guidebooks ready, don’t forget to come back regularly to the official website of FLL (www.firstinspires.org) to check for any updates and clarifications, which will help to smooth out your confusion when you feel stuck.
