Hello World! While the Robot Game is an extremely fun and exciting element of the First LEGO League competition, it’s highly important to realize that this isn’t what all FLL is about. The heart of FLL lies in learning. Individuals gain very valuable skills in teamwork, problem-solving, research, presentation, and many other fields through the Innovation Project and Core Values components of the competition.

The Innovation Project encourages students to seek innovative solutions towards the topic, creating a sense of integrity and power. Meanwhile, the Core Values component builds important life skills for the student such as teamwork, collaboration, and more importantly, gracious professionalism.

So, while the Robot Game creates great competition in the field of STEM and robotics, it’s the combination of every element that truly makes FLL a competition in its own educational league, building on not only technical knowledge but also collaboration, Core Values elements and teamwork skills that will assist all participants throughout their lives.
