A Few More Lessons…

Hello World! If you asked me about the greatest impression that I have got from participating in FLL 2022, I would say, besides the Core Values of Teamwork, Fun, Inclusion, Discovery, Impact and Innovation, that Gracious Professionalism must be FLL’s most distinctive hallmark. Wow! Gracious Professionalism sounds very big! You might ask: ‘What is it?’ Let me tell you — Gracious Professionalism is described as a way of doing things that encourages high-quality work, emphasises the value of others, and respects individuals and the community. We are meant to express our Core Values through Gracious Professionalism. Remember, teamwork makes the dream work! ?
Oh yeah… I forgot to tell you. When my team was invited into the ‘Judging Section’ during our very first FLL tournament in 2022, we all looked at each other in fright, not knowing what to expect, because none of us has ever experienced this before. ? Eventually me and other team members took turns to step up and speak out our ideas and inspirations, or direct the questions to the speaker with the most relevant knowledge.
My advice here for you is to calm down on-site and always try to use the most straighforward langauge to explain your insights. Remember, the ‘Judging Section’ is a platform where we can even learn from the judges! This is especially true when the feedback from the judges inspires us in our next-stage improvement.
In our next issue, we might start to talk about some mind-blowing sparks that we have for FLL 2023-24. ?
